Discover and enjoy the authentic Puglia. Welcome in Puglia (or Apulia): the sunny and windy "heel of the Italian boot". We are Italy's easternmost region, right in the middle of the Mediterranean sea with culture and traditions that are the results of several different dominations, cultural and economic influences. First of all I'm a traveler (for leisure and work) and I like to discover foreign countries and their culture, traditions, food, people, etc. I have been working in tourism since 1998 as travel designer, event organizer, licensed tourist guide, nature (hike and bike) and interpretive guide, tour leader, food and wine lover (olive oil taster, wine sommelier). I'm passionate about my region and I like to share our amazing attractions and culture with other people. Puglia is an "easy region": the weather is quite warm all year long (the best time to come is from March to November but it's worth to come also in winter time), people is friendly (… but only a few people speaks English or another foreign language), there are always lots of events and things to do and our Mediterranean diet is healthy and tasty for everybody (amazing choice of tasty meat, fish, pasta, rice, legumes, vegetables and fruit recipes). Travelers who come for the first time in Puglia usually are fascinated by the Puglian daylight and the colours of the seaside and the countryside. I'll share with you the soul of Puglia, its culture, traditions, flavors, nature, scent, vibes . . . If you're looking for an hyper detailed and boring visit I'm not the tour guide for you but if you like a friendly and easy going person who will make his best, thanks to his experience and empathy, to understand and satisfy your needs, to suggest the right choices matching with your interests, to introduce in our culture and traditions, to help you in spending a very nice time … then contact me. I'm a licensed tour guide, nature (hike and bike) guide, environmental educator; wine sommelier, certified olive oil taster, tour leader. Education and training: University degree with experimental final essay (with photographic appendix) in Geography about Apulian rural buildings (masseria, villa, trullo); Master in Tourism Economics and Management; Professional training courses: tour guide, nature and interpretive guide, environmental educator, bike guide, bicycle mechanic, BLSD (Basic Life Support Defibrillation), inclusive and accessible tourism; Cooking, wine and extra virgin olive oil tasting classes; Workshop about recognition of Apulian wild orchids; Photography's workshop about show and Entertainment, nature. PLEASE WRITE ME BEFORE BOOKING (this way we will be sure the tour will match perfectly your needs in terms of price, service included, date, start time, duration, etc.). THIS WAY IS EASIER AND FASTER FOR YOU AND ME.

Overview of your Brindisi tour

I was born and raised in this area. Let me take you on a tasty and cultural tour to discover the "gems" of Valle d'Itria with me as tour guide, nature guide, wine and olive oil sommelier with a long experience in tourism. We will enjoy amazing landscapes nestled among rolling hills dotted with masserie (traditional farmhouses), oak woods, monumental millennium old olive groves surrounded by Unesco drystone (whitout any mortar) walls, great panoramic views, vineyards protected by roses, charming whitewashed villages, colorfull flowers alleyways, smiling and welcoming people. We will discover the history, architecture, legend and symbolism of thousands of trulli (traditional drystone corbelled roof buildings) scattered in the countryside and in the Unesco historical city center of Alberobello. We can taste excellent wines (dry white, rosè and red made with indigenous grapes: Primitivo, Minutolo, Verdeca, Susumaniello, etc. ), healthy extra virgin olive oil, cheese (Mozzarella, Burrata), charcuterie .

Alessandro was a wonderful tour guide - extremely knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and flexible! Our customised full day tour from Brindisi was superb! Highlights included gorgeous towns especially Alberobello & Locorotondo (Alessandro’s diagrams explaining the incredible trulli roofs in Alberobello were very helpful) and the private vineyard tour where we got to try different grape varieties on the vines and then enjoy a delicious lunch paired with several wines from the vineyard was superb! Two of our family members had remained on the cruise ship for the first part of the tour as they had not been feeling well, but then wanted to join us for the private vineyard tour, so Alessandro rearranged the schedule to accommodate them and made sure to allow enough time to return to the drop-off point for the cruise ship to pick them up so we could all attend the vineyard tour and tasting together which we all really appreciated! We had an amazing experience and highly recommend Alessandro, thank you for such a wonderful day!

This was an interesting tour, and our guide gave full consideration to our very slow walking and altered the tour slightly to suite our needs even parking a long way away and then bringing the car back to us. Informative, amusing and easy to understand even with my poor hearing. Would definitely recommend.

While a long day, Alessandro made our tours interesting and fun. He is obviously very knowledge but was able to express it effectively and make it easy to follow and understand. The highlight of our day was the mozzarella tasting. The cheese shop was charming and the family who owns it, like characters in an Italian movie. We loved it!

I cannot recommend Alessandro highly enough! From the moment our tour began, it was clear we were in the hands of someone truly passionate about Italy’s history, culture, and hidden gems. He answered every question with patience. The tour never felt rushed — instead, it was like exploring Italy with a knowledgeable friend who wanted to share the best of their home. The experience was seamless, fun, and unforgettable. Thanks to Alessandro, we left not only with amazing memories, but also with a deeper appreciation for Italian culture, food, and history. If you’re looking for an extraordinary tour guide in Italy, look no further!
