Discover and enjoy the authentic Puglia. Welcome in Puglia (or Apulia): the sunny and windy "heel of the Italian boot". We are Italy's easternmost region, right in the middle of the Mediterranean sea with culture and traditions that are the results of several different dominations, cultural and economic influences. First of all I'm a traveler (for leisure and work) and I like to discover foreign countries and their culture, traditions, food, people, etc. I have been working in tourism since 1998 as travel designer, event organizer, licensed tourist guide, nature (hike and bike) and interpretive guide, tour leader, food and wine lover (olive oil taster, wine sommelier). I'm passionate about my region and I like to share our amazing attractions and culture with other people. Puglia is an "easy region": the weather is quite warm all year long (the best time to come is from March to November but it's worth to come also in winter time), people is friendly (… but only a few people speaks English or another foreign language), there are always lots of events and things to do and our Mediterranean diet is healthy and tasty for everybody (amazing choice of tasty meat, fish, pasta, rice, legumes, vegetables and fruit recipes). Travelers who come for the first time in Puglia usually are fascinated by the Puglian daylight and the colours of the seaside and the countryside. I'll share with you the soul of Puglia, its culture, traditions, flavors, nature, scent, vibes . . . If you're looking for an hyper detailed and boring visit I'm not the tour guide for you but if you like a friendly and easy going person who will make his best, thanks to his experience and empathy, to understand and satisfy your needs, to suggest the right choices matching with your interests, to introduce in our culture and traditions, to help you in spending a very nice time … then contact me. I'm a licensed tour guide, nature (hike and bike) guide, environmental educator; wine sommelier, certified olive oil taster, tour leader. Education and training: University degree with experimental final essay (with photographic appendix) in Geography about Apulian rural buildings (masseria, villa, trullo); Master in Tourism Economics and Management; Professional training courses: tour guide, nature and interpretive guide, environmental educator, bike guide, bicycle mechanic, BLSD (Basic Life Support Defibrillation), inclusive and accessible tourism; Cooking, wine and extra virgin olive oil tasting classes; Workshop about recognition of Apulian wild orchids; Photography's workshop about show and Entertainment, nature. PLEASE WRITE ME BEFORE BOOKING (this way we will be sure the tour will match perfectly your needs in terms of price, service included, date, start time, duration, etc.). THIS WAY IS EASIER AND FASTER FOR YOU AND ME.

I'm eager to share with you the deep knowledge of my birthplace and my long experience as tourist and nature guide to show you the hidden treasures of Mesagne (with its heart-shaped historic city center) and Oria (awarded with the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club: a recognition for the quality of tourism and the environment in small inland towns). We will breath the scent of myths and legends, we will discover this area along the Appian Way (the "queen" of the Roman roads) with the archeological sites and museums displaying findings ranging from the Upper Paleolithic age to the Medieval time, Jewish heritage, undergound olive oil mills, Norman- Swabian castles, romantic italian and english style gardens, unique crypt with mummies, lavish baroque churches, winding narrow streets with whitewashed medieval houses. Being also a wine and olive oil sommelier, I can organize amazing wine tasting, healthy extra virgin olive oil tastings and delicious culinary experiences.
With an half day it's possible to enjoy 2 of the following activities: A) walking tour up on the hill of Oria with the: - baroque cathedral with the astonishing crypt with the mummies; - messapian (pre-roman civilization) museum and archeologicas sites; - Jewish area; - Norman-Swabian castle (exterior); - gardens of Montalbano. B) walking tour of Mesagne with the: - castle with the old tower, the noble residential area, the underground olive oil cisterns and prisons, the archeological museum; - city center with baroque churches, archeological sites, old gates. C) vineyard and winery visit with wine tasting at a masseria (traditional farmhouse); D) micro brewery visit with craft bier tasting; E) cheese tasting at a dairy. If you like we can modify the tour with: - an olive oil tasting: - a cooking class; - a lunch with the recipes written in the 18th century by the famous chef Vincenzo Corrado; - a walking tour of Francavilla Fontana (with its Imperiali Palace, the paper mache statues, etc. )
