There are more than 300 wineries in Israel; most of them are boutique wineries, making quality wines from wine grapes that are grown all over Israel, from the Galilee and the Golan Heights in the North, to Mitzpe Ramon in the South, on different kind of soils. In Israel there are a lot of archeological foundlings, close to 2000 years old, of wine production, hundreds of old wineries. I am qualified to guide wine tours, and will be glad to share with you all the information regarding wine, and wine preparation. Our tour covers 2 areas: Carmel Mount and Golan Heights. Two days' Wine Tour: Day 1, Carmel Mount - About 1 hour drive from Tel Aviv. Visit the ancient city of Caesarea, build by King Herod, and visit Amphora Winery in a beautiful area in the Carmel Mount. Tour the city of Zichron Ya'akov, and visit Somek family Winery. Late afternoon, we will visit the nice Baha'i Gardens in Haifa. Day 2, Golan Heights - About 2 hours drive from Tel Aviv. The old city of Katzrin, and visit to the Golan Heights Winery. Visit the ruins of Gamla, the story of the Jewish Rebels against the Roman during the 1sy century AD. Visit Château Golan Winery in Kibbutz Elad.
