Welcome! I am Zohar, a fully licensed tour guide with a deep passion for sharing the layers of history, culture, and the unique culinary flavors of Israel. After a successful career in Israel’s high-tech sector as a software engineer, I decided to turn my analytical mind toward my true passion: uncovering the fascinating stories of my home. I bring the same precision and depth of research from my tech days to every tour I lead. Whether we are walking through the ancient stone alleys of Jaffa or exploring the modernist Bauhaus architecture of Tel Aviv, my goal is to make history feel alive. Travelers often tell me they appreciate my storytelling style—I don't just give you dates and facts; I share the human stories behind the landmarks. From the Byzantine era to the modern creation of Israel, I love tailoring each journey to your interests, whether you are a history buff, a foodie, or an avid photographer looking for the perfect shot. Let’s create an unforgettable experience together! I was born in Israel (Tzabar) and can enhance the tour with my unique experiences and adventures from my service in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). As a major in Paratroops units for over thirty years, I participated in five wars, beginning with the battles at the Suez Canal in 1970 and culminating in the First Lebanon War and the Intifada. My moto is- tour, experience and enjoy with a smile. MSc Industrial Engineering Technion Israeli institute of Technology (1981) Licensed Tour Guide - Ministry of Tourism

Tel Aviv, the city that was born from sand, has unique concentration of the international architectural style (called by mistake Bauhaus) . We will understand this style bases and will see few representative samples from the variety of more than 4, 000 buildings (all samples are renovated) . All of this while scrolling along the Vibrant areas of the city like the Rothchild boulevard, the national theatre, and zina dizengoff circle. The tour will take us to places I usd to hang around as a child with great respect to the central european culture that influenced so much on Israeli culture - the bohemians cafes where architects, painters, poets were spending their lives. I will show you few of them!
Prior to the walk we will discuss your interests and abilities. Our day will be as follows; - 30 min start at Gutman Mosaic Rothchild 1 and opening - 20 min scroll along Rothchild boulevard to Engel house - the vibrant area - 20 min explanation with demos the Bauhaus principles - 30 min scroll to Habima squar - 30 min coffee break - 30 min walk to karavan garden - 30 min bauhaus buildings at Shlomo Hamelech and Yael streets - 30 min workers house at Frishman 35 - 30 min Zina Dizengoff circle - End of the tour.
