Renee was great. Are they in Jaffa and Tel Aviv could not have been better. Renee taught us about the history and showed us how Jaffa in Tel Aviv came to be. Renee's walking tour of old Jaffe was a great finish to our 12 days in the Holy Land. She provided context to the long history of Jaffe & the people who built this beautiful town & still live there. Her ability to point out the little nuances that connect historic Jaffe with present day Tel Aviv/Jaffe made for a great day we will not forget.
Step back in time in Jaffa, an ancient port city where cultures have converged for over 5, 000 years. Jaffa boasts beautiful waterfront views, the important Church of St. Peter, artists' alleys, and a very local, multi-cultural vibe. Vintage and innovation meet in the Jaffa Flee market, a city icon for over a hundred years, offering a fine array of 'treasures' and stories. Neve Tzedek, the first Jewish suburb of Jaffa, was home to early writers and rabbis & today is a popular design center. The vibrant Carmel Market is the perfect place for lunch or snack (not included in price). Enjoy Rothschild Boulevard is one of Tel Aviv's most beautiful and desirable boulevards, with its "White city" Bauhaus/International style architecture, while hearing stories of the early years of Tel Aviv and the State of Israel.
