Hi! I'm a licensed tour guide and I'm excited to share my love of Israel with you! My passion is using story-telling, education and experiences to connect people to all that Israel has to offer and to give them a wider perspective in order to connect Israel's story to my clients. All parts of Israel, history, nature, religious traditions, modern culture, even food! create a tapestry with themes that are relevant to much of the world and I tap into all those topics through stories and experiences to draw people into their experience as a tourist. I grew up in Minnesota in a story-telling family and chose to make Israel as my home as an adult. I am licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and have a commercial limousine license. I have a BA in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and a MS in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon. I'm a mom to 6 boys and love hiking, games and learning new things. If you have a particular interest, I can help to craft a personal tour for you. I have worked with a wide range of individuals and groups from all walks of life to help them to get the most out of their time in Israel and to connect with their experience. I look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Israel! - Licensed guide - Israel Ministry of Tourism - Licensed driver - commercial - Israel Transportation Ministry - Tour Educator - Machon Taglit, Israel No restrictions.

Overview of your Tel Aviv tour

Tel Aviv is the thriving start-up, finance, and cultural capital of Israel and the Middle East. In this walking tour I will introduce you to some of the historical characters which catapulted the city into this role. We will meander through the neighborhood of Neve Tzedek and I will share stories of the influential, interesting characters who built and shaped this neighborhood. We will even see a neighborhood which was founded by Christians from Maine whose members were saved by Mark Twain! I will also take you to my favorite ice cream stand, situated amongst the quaint streets. We will continue to Tel Aviv and find about the ideas and people which shaped this city. Did you know Tel Aviv is famous for its coffee? We will have a chance to sample it from one of the many coffee houses. Finally, no tour would be complete without a visit to the Carmel Market to sample some authentic Israeli cuisine. There, in the market in a re-purposed synagogue, is some of the best humus around!

Your Tel Aviv tour itinerary

- Starting from the Ottoman Train Station (Tachana Rishona), we meander through the neighborhood of Neve Tzedek and hear stories of those who built and shaped it. We will see their schools, homes, synagogues, and theaters. We will even see a neighborhood which was founded by Christians from Maine whose members were saved by Mark Twain! While in Neve Tzedek, we can enjoy local ice cream or a peak into one of the boutique shops. - From there we will continue to Tel Aviv and encounter the motives of her founders. The first business in Tel Aviv was a corner kiosk offering coffee - the basis for today's coffee culture here which we will sample.
