The sea, back in the old days, was the main entrance point for every country. Same here in Israel the cities of Jaffa, Caesarea, Haifa, and Acre were of big importance in different periods of history. It was the old port of Jaffa from where Christianity spread all over the world and the Crusaders made big use of this port while taking over control over holy land back in the 12 century. North of Jaffa is the tremendous huge city of Caesarea with its unique port founded by King Herods in honor of the Roman emperador. As we drive north by the shore n the Gulf of Haifa it is time to discover the picturesque city of Haifa by the slopes of Mount Carmel. At the of the tour, we will arrive at the 4000-year-old port of Acre with the upper city and the underground city of the Crusaders from the 12 century. In between you will have time to explore the old narrow streets of the port of Acre.
Our day starts by driving from Tel Aviv towards the north to the city of Caesarea. Before we take off from Tel Aviv we will have a stop for a short visit to the city of Jaffa and its most known church of Saint Peter. here we will visit the city of Herods observing the ancient Roman port, the theater, the hippodrome, and ruins of palaces, temples, and bathhouses. moving to the north we approach the city of Haifa and Mount Carmel where we will see the terraced Baha'i Gardens and learn about the Baha'i faith. On the other side of the port is the Crusader's city of Acre. In this picturesque city we can visit the Crusader fortress built in the 12th century, the Ottoman structures, and a former Turkish and British Mandate citadel prison. The itinerary is flexible, for any changes please let me know.
