Find out what is so special about the Isle of Man! Explore some iconic sights in this scenic visit to the North and West of the Isle of Man. The former mining village of Laxey has been nominated for World-Heritage listing, and no visit to the Island is complete without viewing the celebrated Laxey Wheel. In contrast, at Kirk Maughold on the East coast and the town of Peel on the West coast your guide will share tales and myths of the Island's ancient origins, with a unique mixture of Celtic and Viking influences.
Travelling North from Douglas we visit the village of Laxey to view the world's largest waterwheel Then traverse the beautiful countryside to isolated Kirk Maughold, steeped in history. Next stop is Peel, once a Viking stronghold on the Island's West coast before we return to Douglas via St. Johns, site of the Island's annual outdoor parliament.
