Our trip starts from the city of Ioannina. During the first day we will have the chance to visit the museums of the town, the mosques, the byzantine castle and the old Ottoman citadel as well as the picturesque island which lies in the middle of Lake Pamvotis. You will also have the chance to visit the market and buy some souvenirs made of wood and silver. You will have the time to enjoy the old traditional recipes in one of the lake restaurants. On the second day we will visit Metsovo, a mountainous village in the slopes of Pindos range. After a short walk in the central square and the nearby cobblestone paths we will visit the Averof museum and also the Art Gallery. Metsovo is famous for its winery and also for its local dairy products. I suggest you taste the famous cheese and roasted meat and buy homemade pasta before you leave the village. The city -tour in Ioannina lasts close to three hours and a half while for the tour in Metsovo we will need close to 4 hours (transfer time included)
