Dear visitor, my name is Ioannis and I am a licensed tour guide based in Aliki, Boeotia. I have studied History and Archaeology in the University of Athens, where I was the valedictorian of my class, graduating with a 1st class honours degree. During my studies, I have also received two awards from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation for being 1st of my class. After my graduation, I continued my studies, obtaining a Master's degree in Modern History from the University College London (UCL) and an MA in Cultural Management from Panteio University. After working for a while as a teacher, I decided to retrain myself as a tour guide and here I am! I specialize in private tours of Delphi and the surrounding Boeotian region, sharing its rich history, mythology, and hidden gems with visitors from all over the world. I am offering tours in English, French and Greek. I would love to talk to you about Greek history and culture! For me, guiding in Delphi and Boeotia is like walking through the pages of Greek history and mythology. From the world-famous Oracle of Apollo to the lesser-known ancient cities of Boeotia, every tour is a journey through time and stories that still captivate the imagination today. I am also available for nature tours if you want to explore the wilderness! I am generally a friendly, relaxed and easy going person, who loves talking about history and culture. I am also an artistic person who loves photography and film making. I have actually graduated from the Focus School of Photography in Athens and I am currently preparing some photo tours as well! I have lived abroad and I have travelled a lot, something that made me realize that every culture is unique and deserves respect. Your Delphi tour itinerary
- We will meet at your hotel in Delphi - Our first destination is the archaeological museum, where we'll explore the renowned exhibits together. Highlights include the Kouroi of Argos, sculptures from the Treasury of Sifnos, the Silver Bull, and the famous bronze Charioteer. - Following our museum visit, we'll take a stroll to the archaeological site. Together, we'll explore the Treasuries, the Temple of Apollo, and the ancient Greek theater of Delphi. For the adventurous, there's an option to walk uphill to reach the stadium. - Our final stop will be back in Delphi, concluding our tour.
