I came to Würzburg as a student to study economics and law. Here, I first fell in love with the city, then with my wife, who comes from a Franconian wine-growing family – and so Würzburg became my home. After 30 years as a manager in the automotive industry, I decided to turn my passion into my profession. Today, I am a certified city guide and a certified Franconian wine experience guide. I see myself not simply as a tour guide, but as a private cultural host. My aim is to help guests experience Würzburg and Franconia through their history, people, traditions and wines. My tours connect the famous sights with the stories behind them: from prince-bishops, baroque architecture and the old wine estates to Jewish history, religious traditions and the families who shaped the city. Franconian wine is often part of the experience, offering a unique window into the landscape, culture and character of the region. Every guest is different, which is why I tailor each tour to your interests, pace and background. You may wish to discover Würzburg’s essential highlights, explore its history and wine culture in greater depth, or uncover some of the unexpected connections between them. My aim is to make you feel informed, engaged and inspired—and to ensure that your time in Würzburg is personal, enjoyable and truly memorable.

For more than 900 years, Jewish heritage has been woven into the history of Würzburg, shaping the city through commerce, banking, medicine, education, wine, and civic life. Its legacy remains visible today, often hidden in plain sight among Würzburg's streets, squares, and historic buildings. This relaxed private walking tour invites you to discover the people behind these places and the stories that bring them to life. Together, we'll explore a remarkable journey of scholarship, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, resilience, and renewal, while also reflecting on the challenges that transformed this community over the centuries. As your local guide and private cultural host, I enjoy bringing history to life through engaging stories rather than dates, revealing the human connections behind familiar landmarks. Whether you have a personal interest in Jewish heritage or simply want to discover a deeper side of Würzburg, this tour offers an authentic, thoughtful, and memorable experience.
