Let me show you where Hitler chose to reside over a period of time in the spectacular Bavarian Mountains, feel the history and experience the many local traditions throughout the year. I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and then moved to South Africa in the early 80's. For the past 29 years I have been living in Berchtesgaden, Germany. I studied zoology and botany with the intention of becoming an entomologist. At this time in South Africa, a very exciting and traumatic political period made me develop an interest in history and how it affects our future. After backpacking around Europe for some time, I returned to South Africa and met my future (German) husband back in Cape Town. Love at first sight, a story in itself. Four months later, I ended up in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria/Germany, where I have lived since 1990 with my husband and our four children. Wow, what a beautiful place to live in, with the Königssee, Bavarian mountains and of course the historic sights of the Third Reich, Eagles Nest, Obersalzberg Berghof (Hitler's house), bunkers and more. I would like to share these wonderful landmarks with you, with a tailor-made tour according to your interests. In 2011 we bought a dormant farm, which we have reactivated as an organic farm, breading domestically endangered animals that were in Berchtesgaden and the alps since a few hundred years. Mountain farming can be very challenging but also rich in cultural tradition. We continue to learn by trial and error and are enjoying our exciting journey. I have been working as a tour guide since 1996 and have been certified as a specialized guide for Third-Reich themes by the Munich-Berlin Institute for Contemporary History, which allows me to give tours of the Documentation center Obersalzberg. I have done several agricultural courses through the Agriculture department Germany. None

Many make there way up to the famous Eagles Nest and miss out on the lower section of the mountain Obersalzberg where many important political decisions have been made, and there are still hidden remnants to see from that World War II time period, that I know about being married to a local, whoms grandfather supposedly delivered milk to Hitler on Obersazberg. On this private tour, those history enthusiasts will discover the History of Hitler and how he came to the Obersalzberg. We will explore the transformation of the mountain into the second seat of government "Fuehrersperrgebiet" ( the "Fuehrer' s " off-limits area) whilst explaining other high Nazi officials who had homes on the mountainside as well as other buildings. Documentation Center(Third Reich museum) can be included were is possible to see part of bunker system. Weather permitting spectacular views.
We will begin with a driving tour of the Obersalzberg mountain with stops for photo's or a better look at ruins if desired. Just a short walk into the woods takes us to the remains of Hitlers Berghof home, where we can enjoy the view he had (weather permitting), and share a few stories I have heard from the locals of small unimportant events that occured on the mountain during Hitlers time. It is possible to visit the spectacular Eagles Nest between May and October. Throughout the tour I give a detailed historical commentary and use period photos to make everything a little bit more real.
