The USMC at Belleau Wood & The Second Battle of the Marne

Sign up for a special great tour in the Aisne. During World War One, a brigade of US Marines will be attached to the regular 2nd US Division. This brigade, the 4th Marine Brigade will glorify on various battlefields in France. We propose to follow the epic of these warriors at Belleau Wood in the Aisne on June 1918 where the Brigade will win a first great victory a sacred ground for the US Marine Corps including the wood the area and the American cemetery, Hill 204 where a regiment of the 3rd US Division tried to secure the flank of the hill and its interpretive center, the Croix Rouge Farm and the involvement of the 42nd Division, the Oise-Aisne American Cemetery and finally the crash site of Quentin Roosevelt, son of the former President of the United States of America.

- Departure from your accommodation in Reims - Visit of the vicinity of Belleau Wood and the wood. - Move to the Aisne-Marne US Cemetery - Go to Hill 204 to see the US Federal monument and look at the panorama view then tour around its interpretive center. - Witness the remains of the fortified Croix Rouge Farm, occupied by the Germans and learn about the action of the 167th Infantry Regiment from Alabama, who lost a lot of men during this attack.
