Hello everybody. My name is Sonya, a native Praguer. I would like to share with you my passion about my city and the country. We will be exploring the hidden corners, speak about our culture, our customs and traditions. I was born and rise in Prague but I also used to live in Berlin and London for couple of years. I love traveling, going to different countries, especially in Asia - Cambodia, Laos, India, Thailand. My next destination will be Japan. To be a tour guide I fulfilled my child dream. As the child I was always behind the guides, carefully listening to their explanations. I decided to become an archaeologist. However, during the communistic time it was very hard to study archeology, because the department was open just every second year and only 3 people from the whole Czechoslovakia were accepted to the studies, so instead I studied and finished the Economics. After several year working, the dream reached me again and I met my dream job - guiding. I love history, its details, hidden stories to see that everything what happened in the previous years has such a huge impact today. That what attracts me on history. In Prague you will find me in a coffee house reading historical books or walking with a book and looking for small details. I can stay in the front of an building for hours admiring the beauty of gothic, renaissance, baroque era and any detail I can find on the building. I like making people happy, always you will be the first. I am very empathetic, caring, smiling, responsible. I am also very flexible, what everything you need to do, I can organize it. My work is my hobby. I look forward to meeting you. Official licensed guide of the Czech Republic - 1992 Official licensed guide of Prague - 2016 Official licensed guide of Jewish Town - 2016 university degree I don't organize tours by scooters, segways and bikes

Overview of your Prague tour

The Jewish settlement has a long history in Bohemia lands. Did you know that they call it "Erec Kena'an" (Land of Kenaan)? Do you know, how the word "Slaves" was formed? There are so many things, which we could revealed during this tour and they have a huge impact for the current days. I am very happy to work as the tour guide for the Jewish Muzeum. So you will be in the best hands :). We have many legends specially about our famous Golem and his creator, one of the biggest Jewish teacher "Maharal". We will visit all open synagogues in the Jewish Town and the ancient Jewish Cemetery. The Prague Jewish Museum is the 2th biggest Jewish Museum of one nation in the whole world and I will be very glad to show you, how Jews used to live here. On Saturdays and on Jewish holidays, the Jewish Museum is closed.
