Hello everyone! My name is Darina, and I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world – Prague. I am a professional, full-time private tour guide with my own car. I am a licensed guide for Prague, the Jewish Quarter, and the Terezin concentration camp. You can find a short video presentation by clicking "Show all media" under my profile picture. After many years in the office of a travel company, I decided to leave and pursue my passion as a full-time tour guide – and I absolutely love it! If you book a tour outside Prague, I’ll pick you up in my comfortable Volkswagen Passat. I’ve been driving since 2009 and can also arrange a minivan for an additional fee. A Journey Through History and Memory
Overview of your Prague tour
From 1941 to 1945, the Nazis used Terezin as a transit camp and ghetto for Jews, often promoting it as a "model" camp to deceive the international community about their treatment of Jews. In reality, the conditions were brutal, and many prisoners died of starvation, disease, or were sent to extermination camps. Terezín remains a poignant symbol of the Holocaust. TEREZIN WAS NEVER USED AS EXTERMINATION CAMP (there are no gas chambers). Terezin is not scary place, it worth to visit and learn something new. It is a regular city, where people still live. We are going to visit: Small fortress (former prison) Big fortress (former concentration camp): Ghetto Museum Magdeburg Barracks Jewish Cemetery Crematorium (closed on Saturdays) Jewish Prayer Room This tour does not include a lunch stop.

Sarina’s knowledge of this difficult period in history was both extensive and insightful, allowing us to navigate the somber realities of the site with respect and understanding. Her efficiency kept the tour running smoothly, ensuring we made the most of our time. Beyond that, she is an excellent driver, skillfully maneuvering the vehicle, and impressively parking in tight spots 😄. Lunch was delicious in a Czech restaurant in Litomerice where we ate goulash, dumplings, and the most delicious mushroom soup ever! Darina’s. We ended our day with a tour of the grounds of Prague castle and a lovely stroll through Malá Strana at dusk. Overall, Darina is an exceptional guide who enhances the learning experience with her expertise and dedication.
