PLEASE, MESSAGE ME THE DATE AND THE TOUR YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE YOU MAKE THE BOOKING, SO I CAN DOUBLE-CHECK MY AVAILABILITY. THANK YOU. When I was born, my country was called Czechoslovakia. Several years later, a decision has been made to separate the country in two, which is known as the Czech Republic and Slovakia today. I and my family ended up in the Slovakian part. However, I feel being Czech the very same way as being Slovakian - the Czechoslovakian. Since I remember, my dream was to study in Prague, at the famous Charles University. My dream came true and I've been living in this amazing city for more than 15 years now. Studies gave me a great opportunity to understand the world's history, to travel, to learn new languages and to do the best job in the world - to start my work as a tour guide! I have years of experience in guiding various kinds of tours and groups. Hence, I consider private tours as the best way to explore the city. There is nobody else to limit you, you can ask anything and there is always time to see some hidden gems, to escape from the crowds, to experience something beyond the ordinary. My goal is to show you how amazing Prague and the whole Czech Republic is. There are so many great people and many more stories that shaped the Czech nation through centuries, and all of them make our country great. It is impossible to cover it at once, but I can promise you that I'll try to make the most of your visit. Thank you for considering me as your guide and I hope to meet you in person on one of my tours. Apart from guiding, I love to travel, discover new cultures and see the sights where history happened. A relatively still small amount of those places I have visited so far, however, there's still the rest of the world on my bucket list. PLEASE, MESSAGE ME BEFORE YOU BOOK THE TOUR TO MAKE SURE OF MY AVAILABILITY. THANK YOU Let's talk about WW2 and Prague Did you know that Prague was bombed too? That occurred towards the end of World War II, in February 1945. On the last days of the Nazi occupation, the resistance moved to take control of the city and it all ended up with fights in the historical centre. Let's cover the story of Operation "Anthropoid" - the assassination of the high-ranking Nazi governor, the so-called "Butcher of Prague", Reinhard Heydrich. After his arrival, the transports of Jews to the camps were initiated along with executions of the members of resistance. Therefore, a decision was made to kill him. Military operation "Anthropoid" was carried out by two Czechoslovak soldiers, who, after eventually killing Heydrich, fought their biggest battle in the crypt of the church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius. All of these stories and much more we'll cover during this special memorial tour. We will walk through the streets of O
We will walk through the streets of Old Town and former Jewish Quarter to cover several sites connected with the Nazi presence. We will talk about life of ordinary people and those who joined the resistance, but also about those, who decided to collaborate with Nazis. We will explore the story of how Nazis desperately searched the soldiers who killed the Blonde Beast (another nickname of Reinhard Heydrich) and take a tram to visit the church where they lost their lives. The church crypt is accessible nowadays and there's a small museum that still takes mark from what happened here in 1942. This is a perfect tour for history buffs. PLEASE, MESSAGE ME BEFORE YOU BOOK THE TOUR TO MAKE SURE OF MY AVAILABILITY. THANK YOU
