The Jewish Quarter Tour embraces the history, legends and traditions of the Jewish people in Prague, from the 10th century settlements through their enforced isolation, the pogrom refugees, and the horrors of the 20th century. During the tour we will learn about the every day life of the Jewish people through the ages: how they lived, worked and survived, and of their successes and their failures. The story unfolds vividly as we explore the synagogues, historic buildings, Jewish Cemetery and streets of the Jewish Quarter (Josefov). And how, despite the terrible purges of the Nazi occupation, did the beautiful monuments in the Jewish Quarter survive?
