Hello everyone! My name is Varvara and I am a professional guide in Prague. I am a translator by first education, therefore I have magical skills to translate from a boring historical to modern interesting language! If you arrive just for a couple of days, or passing through the city, you need to be navigated not miss the main attractions. Guidebooks do not provide comprehensive information, which is also incredibly difficult to understand. So here I am! I will draw up an individual tour for you around the city, museums, at a time suitable for you. After all, the tour is not limited to a strict monotonous program, it is always communication, it is an opportunity to dive into the details that guidebooks will not tell about. I am pleased to give advice on which restaurant to choose, show where they brew tasty beer, and what Czech dishes are worth a try. Come to Prague, Czech Republic, it will not disappoint you! And I will help you to love it and I will reveal all its secrets! I have a master degree in Economics and management. I am a translator of professional communication but 6 years I decided to do what I love. I love history that is why I have got my guide license. And now enjoy my work every day! I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

The Jewish Quarter Tour embraces the history, legends and traditions of the Jewish people in Prague, from the 10th century settlements through their enforced isolation, the pogrom refugees, and the horrors of the 20th century. During the tour we will learn about the every day life of the Jewish people through the ages: how they lived, worked and survived, and of their successes and their failures. The story unfolds vividly as we explore the synagogues, historic buildings, Jewish Cemetery and streets of the Jewish Quarter (Josefov). Where, for instance, does the famous "Golem" fit in to the story? Were people really buried ten deep, one on top of the other? And how, despite the terrible purges of the Nazi occupation, did the beautiful monuments in the Jewish Quarter survive? On the tour we also discover a little of the life Franz Kafka, the famous author, who was born and raised in this ancient area of Prague
