Hi! I am Vojtěch (nick name Vojta, born in 1994), an English-speaking guide. I studied Central European history, culture, and art at Charles University in Prague, and then I studied International Relations for masters degree in the city Pilsen. I have been providing guided tours since 2015, when I got my professional license, in Prague, Terezín Concentration Camp, the spa city of Karlovy Vary, and other UNESCO sites in the Czech Republic. In 2023 I got a professional licence for the Jewish Museum in Prague as well. I was born in Prague, the city I love. I repeatedly visited Florida, the residence of a family friend, and have traveled in many other states of the US. After seven years of my experience with tour guiding, and hundreds of tours I had, I started to enjoy the feeling that my clients were satisfied with the tours. Showing my country's cultural, architectural and historical treasures to foreign travelers makes me happy every time. Why should you visit Prague? Prague lies in the heart of Europe, and it is almost 1200 years old city. The feeling that you can explore streets, buildings and places where our ancestors were living hundreds of years before us will impress you. I will provide you in several hours information about our cultural life, cuisine, traditions, history, politics etc. . . During the tours that I give, you will see Prague Castle - the largest castle complex in central Europe, the Charles Bridge, which is more than 650 years old, Jewish Quarter in Prague, Astronomical Clock - more than 600 years old, and still functional, and many other sites. My interests are history, architecture, languages, politics, traveling, and of course, finding new fun spots in new cities. I loved exploring the monuments of architecture in Rome, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, Paris, Nuremberg, and Amsterdam. I like also sports, for instance: fitness, biking, snowboarding, swimming. Let me invite you to my wonderful city, and share with you fun during our tours. Prague Tour Guide License - Tyrkys, school of business in tourism I am a fully licensed tour guide in Prague and the Czech Republic: - The Second (the highest) Degree Czech Tourist Guides Identification card with PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION number: 201201 I have 7 years of experience in tour guiding. I'm fully vaccinated. I have got University degree in History and Art History from Charles University in Prague (Bachelor's degree), and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. I am not a driver guide in Prague but I can arrange transportation upon request. I am able to accomodate my Prague tours for disabled people on wheel chairs, slower walking people with walkers or mobility scooters.

Overview of your Prague tour

Are you in Prague for a short time? If so, this is the right tour for you. Let's get acquainted with my beautiful city. Visit Prague Castle, the residence of our presidents and kings before them, and its St. Vitus Cathedral. In the Lesser Town, admire the rich baroque architecture and Wallenstein Garden (only in the summer). Walk toward Lennon Wall, our symbol of resistance against the communist regime. Once we cross Charles Bridge, the oldest bridge in Prague, we will make our way through the Old Town of Prague. The Astronomical Clock, the most admired site in Old Town Square is something I can not let you miss. From there, we can see the Jewish Quarter. But this tour wouldn't be complete without a visit to Wenceslas Square, in the New Town of Prague, where many historical and political events happened, such as demonstrations against the communist regime and the 1989 Velvet Revolution. This tour does not include visits to any interiors, so no entrance fees are required.

Prague is incredible! But you probably already know that if you are planning a trip there. Don't visit Prague without the best guide - Vojtech K! My wife and I spent 5 hours with him, walking through Prague, and it wasn't enough. He is smart, funny and attentive. Vojtech's passion for history - especially his hometown - is abundantly clear when you spend time with him. I wish we had more time to spend with this fantastic guide.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and clearly knew the history of Prague. We loved seeing tge Jewish Quarter and was impressed with his knowledge of Jewish like and traditions. He had an agenda and stuck to it. I wish we had more time to stop on shops.

Vojtech was a great guide- personable, professional, punctual, passionate, and very knowledgeable. We've been on enough tours over the years to know when we've scored a great guide (which is the expected norm on ToursByLocals), and Vojtech was yet another. He kept our large group of 10 moving thru bustling crowds, providing a constant narration of the city and its incredible centuries of history. He was a pleasure to spend several hours with, and even stayed unsolicited for a half hour beyond the end of our scheduled time together to ensure he got in all the sights and details he wanted to share with us. His passion was evident, and our visit to Prague was greatly enhanced by our time with him. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an informative tour and time well spent!
