Prague Castle Interiors tour

Prague Castle was founded in 887. In the middle ages it served as a royal residence and since 1918 it's the seat of the Czech president. The castle is not just one building but it's a complex of sixty buildings connected together. Until today it is the largest functioning seat of the head of the state in the world. It's a town for itself - therefore, it's recommended to visit this area on a separate tour. During our tour we will visit four parts of the castle that are open to public: St. Vitus Cathedral (the main catholic church in our country), Old Royal Palace (a former royal residence), St. George's basilica (one of the oldest Prague churches) and Golden lane (a 16th century street where the medieval alchemysts worked). From the fortification wall of the castle we'll have a beautiful view of the whole city and the Vltava river. For me, as a Czech native, Prague Castle is a unique site. It's a place where the history of our country began 1200 years ago and which remains a symbol of Czech state sovereignty.
