I was born in Prague and spent a happy childhood here. I remember taking long walks with my grandfather and visiting all the historical places. Little did I know that one day, I would be showing this beautiful city and country to people, from all over the world. My grandfather would be proud. Eventually, my family moved first to Germany, where I learned German and then to the USA, where I got most of my education. In the year 2000, communism having been abolished, I returned to the Czech Republic, and live in Prague again. On my return, I went through the proper schooling to get my guide license for Prague and the Czech Republic and lead tours in Prague and all the "worth seeing" places in this country. Due to having spent so much time in the USA and Germany, I speak English, Czech and German perfectly. I do occasionally stray and lead international tours outside of the Czech Republic in Europe and the world but for the most part, I stay in Prague. I love to show this magnificent city and country to people from everywhere. Having the local and global experience as well as the language knowledge, I am sure you will get the most out of your stay in Prague and the Czech Republic on any of my tours. Welcome! :-) In 2004, I completed my local guide license for Prague. I have studied history, languages and psychology in several institutions in the USA as well as Europe. I have worked for and with several major travel companies such as Maupintour, Classic American Travel, QEvents, G2 and others. none

Take a nice drive to this spa town located on the Tepla river, west of Prague. Named after Karl IV, Charles the IV in English, it is a picturesque town with spa fountains and pretty houses. Visit the Moser porcelain factory.
Karlovy Vary, better known by its German name, Karlsbad, is the most famous Bohemian spa. It was named for the Bohemian king and German and Holy Roman emperor Charles (Karl) IV who allegedly found the springs in 1358 during a hunting expedition. Among the rich and famous who visited Karlsbad are Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven, Chopin, and even Karl Marx, along with most of European royalty. On arrival in Karlovy Vary, you can purchase one of the specially made, straw built in, cups and taste the mineral water coming from the well placed springs along the river. Becherovka, is also made in this town. If you would like to do a tour of the liquor factory, let us know and we will built it into your tour. The city is located about a 2 hours scenic drive west of Prague. I will pick you up with a van with driver and together, we will explore this town. Take a walk along the colonades and taste the mineral water coming from the springs below. The Moser porcelain is also here for us to visit.
