Can I rate above 5 stars, please? Dagmar led my husband, adult son, and me on a tour of villages mentioned in a family history book. She went above any expectations in her preparation, knowledge, friendliness, and by securing a wonderful driver for the day. The day tour ended up being the highlight of our two-week vacation. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dagmar, for giving us the gift of your time last May. We will cherish that day forever!
What a fantastic experience with Dagmar on a custom Ancestral Tour in the Tabor area! I wanted to learn about my family heritage and visit some of the areas in Bohemia they were from. Being a genealogy researcher and guide, Dagmar was the perfect person to do this tour with. She was able to take the limited information I had and expand the family pedigree, plus track down locations and details that made for an unforgettable experience. She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, personable and professional!
Although my wife has researched her Czech ancestry for years, Dagmar nevertheless managed to add some corrective details, and spent considerable time attempting to gain further information from church and cemetery records not available online. Additionally, she was able to use the information to focus our tour day to see exactly what we'd hoped to in our limited time in-country and make our trip a success. In all, we found the additional research expense well worthwhile as preparation for our tour.
Late in posting, but the genealogy tour was the highlight of our Prague trip. Dagmar was delightful and informative, giving us a lot of history and background as we traveled to Slovakia. She presented research she had completed ahead of time, which is done mostly by searching old church records. We visited some cemeteries and we fortunate to find a distant relative, at home, who was willing to meet with us! Meeting Maria and learning about her life was amazing, and humbling, for us and our adult kids.

Sending as much initial information as possible about the member(s) of your family who came to the US back in the day will be helpful for finding more details. - full name of your ancestor or variants of his/her name used by your family - date of birth as precise as possible - place of birth, a town, region - any document of your ancestor, such as their passport, marriage license or birth certificate which might help to find the starting point - existing pedigree starting with your Czech ancestor or family history I can draw from, family account at Ancestrydotcom Within 1-day survey I will create basic family tree on the Czech side based on documented facts from Czech archives and parish record books going generations back.
