I have traveled the world for ten years and have never seen a city as beautiful as Vancouver. From the world's greatest park to the most livable neighbourhoods in the most beautiful city in North America; this city is a walker's dream. Mild climate, spectacular vistas, great shopping, historical buildings… it's got everything a visitor wants! I have designed and conducted tours for people from many different walks of life: from senior citizens to parliamentarians; from architects to historians; from airport layovers to cruise ship day trippers… I have helped them all. I want to show you the best of Vancouver with your interests and needs in mind. My goal is to make this the best tour you have ever had. First Aid /CPR Certified Member of Heritage Vancouver I conduct walking tours that may also use buses, trains, and water taxis. If you can't walk at a leisurely pace for 30 minutes at a time then I would not recommend these tours. The water taxis are not easily boarded by strollers and wheelchairs.

Overview of your Vancouver tour

Why hang out at the airport for four hours when you can see the best of downtown Vancouver instead? I will meet you at the airport, we will take train downtown, then walk around the most beautiful city in North America! You will see our local mountains, and the ocean, the two elements that make Vancouver so unique: and our beautiful street vistas. We will make our way to False Creek and hop on a False Creek Ferry to Granville Island, the jewel of Vancouver. Then back we go to the airport and, if you have enough time, we can walk through the airport which has one of the premier collections in the world of west coast indigenous art. All travel expenses are included for the first 2 people. The latest start time will be 2 pm P. S. T.

Wonderful, personal tour! Doug did a fantastic job of introducing us to the lovely city of Vancouver. He is rightfully proud of this modern, clean and safe metropolis, with its excellent mass transit and beautiful waterfront. Our four hour tour covered everything we had hoped - from the architecture, to the history to the cultural.....Doug was also very helpful in getting us to and from the airport and providing our train passes for the day. We could not have asked for more!

Doug was great! Gave us detailed information wherever we went, allowed us to make choices of which things to visit, got a tremendous amount in during the tour and we stopped more because we were tired than because Doug was. Doug was also positive, enthused, knowlegeable, timely, and communicated well before the tour. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Excellent tour. Tour described as delivered. Excellent pre tour communications. Meet at starting point on time. Very informative and educational. Saw things a tourist would never have seen experienced on their own. The combination of trains, subways, boats and water taxis was unique efficient and fun. Would highly recommend. Price/value was appropriate.

Your Vancouver tour itinerary

YVR Airport, the train to downtown Vancouver, sightsee while we walk to the waterfront. Olympic Flame, Pan Pacific Hotel, Convention Centre, Ocean and Park views. Train to Yaletown, the Roundhouse, water taxi on False Creek to Granville Island, spectacular city and water views. Granville Island, historical sites, market place, a playground for tourists and locals- it never fails to impress. Water Taxi back to Yaletown and then train to YVR. If time allows we can walk through the airport ranked as one of the most beautiful in North America for 8 years in a row.
