I have traveled the world for ten years and have never seen a city as beautiful as Vancouver. From the world's greatest park to the most livable neighbourhoods in the most beautiful city in North America; this city is a walker's dream. Mild climate, spectacular vistas, great shopping, historical buildings… it's got everything a visitor wants! I have designed and conducted tours for people from many different walks of life: from senior citizens to parliamentarians; from architects to historians; from airport layovers to cruise ship day trippers… I have helped them all. I want to show you the best of Vancouver with your interests and needs in mind. My goal is to make this the best tour you have ever had. First Aid /CPR Certified Member of Heritage Vancouver I conduct walking tours that may also use buses, trains, and water taxis. If you can't walk at a leisurely pace for 30 minutes at a time then I would not recommend these tours. The water taxis are not easily boarded by strollers and wheelchairs.

For friends and family. . . This is the most relaxing and stress-free walking tour you can get anywhere. Why. . because we walk around downtown Vancouver: then hop on a train for 5 minutes, then walk around historical Yaletown. We then stroll 2 blocks to the beautiful sheltered False Creek waterway and board a False Creek Ferry to Granville Island. Shops, artisans, marketplaces are what tourists usually see but we will also explore the areas where the locals shop and play. Then it is back to wherever you want to in downtown Vancouver. We recommend a start time of 9 am P. S. T. but will accept tours up to 11 am.
Great guide loves his city
Doug was a wealth of information regarding the history of Vancouver. He truly has a passion for sharing his love of the area. Very organized with plenty of time to explore areas of interest for us. Would definitely recommend him to others.
We had a wonderful tour with Douglas. He is full of knowledge and some trivia about Canada, its people, and the city. We enjoyed getting to know beautiful Vancouver with him.
This tour was far beyond our expectations! Our guide, Dough, was friendly, helpful, informative, sensitive to our needs, and quietly knowledgeable! He brought in the history of Vancouver and Canada in a easily understandable way. He used every opportunity to bring smaller details into the bigger picture of both city and country. Wow, we came away feeling knowledgeable about a country and province we had barley understood. Also, Dough answered all our questions with ease. I so appreciated his humor and easy going manner. Also much appreciated was how he worked with us to best park the car outside of the center inorder to make it easier and more affordable to deal with the car situation. He met us at the spot we dropped off car and road in on tram to our start. Thank you a thousand times for setting this up for us!!! So I'm saying that Dough was flexible and able to easily size up the situation. I will definitely use his services again if ever coming back to that part of Canada!
Doug is a well informed and thoughtful guide. We enjoyed being with him.
Very good tour and Doug is a very good tour guide. We were very blessed it was not raining for our tour, as the tour is rain or shine (as it has to be or you would never see anything in Vancouver). Good mix of history, present day, architecture and overall general knowledge. Go spend some additional time on Granville Island after the tour, it is one of the better parts of the city
We can meet in front of your downtown hotel, the Cruise Ship terminal in front of Canada Place We will explore the downtown and the stunning ocean and mountain views. We then catch a subway train and travel to Yaletown where we explore one the original business areas which has now been converted into condos and restaurants. We will see the original Roundhouse: which was the terminal for the trains crossing Canada in the 19th century. Then we walk 2 blocks to False Creek and board a False Creek Ferry. . . next stop Granville Island. Stores, restaurants, artisans, and theatres in an industrial setting with some of the best city, water and mountain views in the lower mainland. The tour can end here or we can then make our way back downtown by ferry and then by train, where we will continue the tour back to Canada Place and the Olympic Flame.
