Hi, my name is Sandy and I am a true Canadian! I was born in Northern Ontario and lived in 16 places across Canada from Saint Anne de Mont, Quebec to Brittania Beach, BC. I started guiding over 20 years ago, showcasing Vancouver mainland, Whistler, Vancouver Island and the Okanagan Wine Country. I live in South Surrey, B. C. , and every time I drive into Vancouver, head into the interior, take a ferry to the Island, go skiing or cycling in Whistler, I can hardly wait to get there. I love living on the West Coast! We have the mountains and the ocean! In Vancouver, you can go skiing, cycling and fishing, all on the same day, or relax at Granville Island with a drink in hand at the Sand Bar and people watch! 8 Hour Driving & Gondola Skybridge Adventure
Overview of your Vancouver tour
I am with you every step of the tour! We will leave Vancouver by Lionsgate bridge, on the scenic Sea to Sky highway taking in the magnificent views of Horseshoe Bay and the Howe Sound. Passing by Lions Bay, we will see islands and the Sunshine Coast. We will drive through Britannia Beach, the oldest copper mine in the district. Our 1st stop is Shannon Falls, 2nd largest waterfalls in BC, and a stop in Function Junction at Pure Breads for coffee and snacks! Once at Whistler, we will take the Peak 2 Peak Gondola - the longest cable suspension car in the world and walk on the Cloudraker Skybridge (optional). Back in the Village we will have time to explore the shops, have lunch and stroll through the town centres.

This was day #2 of our Tours by Locals trips in the greater Vancouver area. We were fortunate to book Sandy G. As our guide. She did a fantastic job on the previous day, taking us through the many sites and attractions in and around the city of Vancouver. Our trip to Whistler was outstanding, with just the right amount of tour stops and background information of the area. Sandy made a long drive fun and informative. She is very professional and has a great sense of humor. We stopped at an incredible water fall on the way up to Whistler, and she told us that we might get lucky and see a bear as we got closer to Whistler. Sure enough, she saw one off to the side of the road, and we were able to slow down so that all 5 of us in the SUV could see it and take a quick photo. We loved walking around the Olympic Village at Whistler, and she recommended lunch at nearby Fairmont Hotel. Great setting and great food and service at reasonable prices. We are big fans of Sandy G. And highly recommend her as a guide.

Wonderful day out to Whistler. Where we enjoyed cable car/gondola and chairlift rides. We wouldn’t have seen and done as much as we did if it wasn’t for Sandy’s flexibility and excellent knowledge and experience. From the moment Sandy picked us us outside our Airbnb in the morning to dropping us off at a restaurant we’d chosen for the evening, was stress-free. We felt very well cared for as well as entertained and informed. Comfortable and immaculate SUV very safely driven. Highly recommended.
