Bobby picked us up (10 longtime friends) at our hotel in Vancouver City in his luxurious, comfortable van and drove us to Vancouver Island where we toured Victoria. He purchased ferry tickets in advance and we took the car ferry to Vancouver Island. There, Bobby led us on a tour of Buchart Gardens , which were amazing . It was wonderful to have Bobby purchase the tickets in advance as well as lead us through, and guide us with interesting information about the Gardens which were beautiful and huge. Bobby made reservations for us at the Empress Hotel for High Tea. This was fabulous and a highlight of our trip to Victoria. Bobby planned in advance, took care of all of the logistics, was knowledgeable and personalized our tour day on Vancouver Island for us. The drop off and pick up from our hotel in Vancouver City was invaluable. When planning this trip, I had no idea of the amount of travel by car and ferry and then a fairly long drive on Vancouver Island to get to the gardens and the city - I was so thankful to have found Bobby on Tours by Locals - he handled everything.

Your Vancouver tour itinerary
Pick up from your hotel will start about 1. 5 hours before the scheduled ferry ride to Victoria. On the ferry, be amazed by the sheer beauty of the Gulf Islands, and be on the look out for whales, dolphins, and sea lions, and having the wind in your face on the ferry deck. Upon reaching Vancouver Island, first stop, Butchart Gardens. Be wowed by this oasis of lush green and colourful blooms, which is fifty-five acres of flowers, trees, pathways and creeks. Featuring a sunken garden, a world famous rose garden and a wonderful restaurant serving High Tea daily. Then, to Victoria via the scenic ocean route to the city. Drive by Oak Bay, Beacon Hill Park, and finally Downtown Victoria, explore BC Parliament Building, Empress Hotel, Chinatown, Bastion Square, and Craigdarroch Castle. Late in the evening, we'll head back to the ferry to return to Vancouver.
