Hello, and welcome! I'm Steve, and my genuine excitement for this city is something I can't wait to share with you. For years, I've been the trusted local expert for my visiting friends and family, crafting memorable days and sharing hidden gems with the warmth and care you'd have showing them to a close friend. I am now thrilled to extend that same personal, welcoming approach to travellers from all over the world. I pride myself on being a thoughtful and conscientious planner. I guarantee to proactively consider every detail of our time together, ensuring our experience is seamless, comfortable and exceeds expectations. My goal is to make our day an absolute delight, and I am genuinely eager to learn about your interests so I can create an outing that is perfectly suited to you specifically. I believe in making your adventure as convenient and stress-free as possible, which is why I’d be happy to pick you up directly from your lodging. Whether you prefer a journey on foot or in the comfort of a private vehicle, I can accommodate your preference. I specialize in private, personalized outings, and I am dedicated to providing an experience that feels less like a formal tour and more like you're discovering the city with a knowledgeable and passionate local friend.

On this tour, we’ll do an in depth exploration of Queen Elizabeth Park, which offers breathtaking city views & beautiful gardens, like the Quarry Garden with its cascading waterfall, and the Rose Garden with its many rose varieties including hardy hybrids. It has special memories for me, as I brought my mother, who was a master gardener, to the garden on many occasions while she was living in Vancouver. Also in the park is the Bloedel Conservatory, a domed lush paradise named after Prentice Bloedel, who made a very generous donation which made its creation possible. It opened back in 1969 dedicated “to a better appreciation and understanding of the world of plants." But beyond the park, we’ll also visit the VanDusen Botanical Garden, a 55 acre former golf course in the heart of Vancouver with over 7,500 plant species from around the world. It is celebrated as one of the top ten botanical gardens in North America and showcases beautiful settings of rolling lawns, flowering gardens & trees.
-We’ll start with a pickup from your location and head to Queen Elizabeth Park. -On arrival, we’ll visit the Rose Garden, built in 1967 to commemorate Canada’s Centennial, and the Quarry Garden, once a massive excavation. -We’ll later pass by the park’s most famous sculpture, the Knife Edge-Two Piece by internationally renowned British sculptor Henry Moore. -Next, we’ll see the “Photo Session”, a bronze sculpture of a man photographing 3 people, by J. Seward Johnson Jr. who donated it to the park in 1984. -Afterwards, we’ll take in the fabulous Dancing Waters fountain, with 70 jets of 85,000 litres worth of recirculating water, located atop Vancouver’s main drinking water reservoir. -We’ll then enter the Bloedel Conservatory which showcases tropical birds, koi fish & over 500 exotic plants in a temperature-controlled environment. -We’ll wrap up by walking across the serene setting of the VanDusen Botanical Gardens, where you could even get a bite to eat at a restaurant with beautiful garden views.
