Overview of your Sydney tour
On this adventure you will pass by the quaint village of Baddeck (if time allows, we will pass through Baddeck on the way back to Sydney), go through the Margarees - such a beautiful area, and make our way to the small coastal Acadian fishing village of Chéticamp. Once we pass through the Acadian village, it's on to the western edge of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Here you will hike the most epic and iconic hiking trail, The Skyline Trail. The village of Chéticamp is home to the "Happy Hookers" (world renowned rug hookers). Absolutely amazing works of art and they are for sale! This tour includes 6 scheduled photo opportunity stops, travel into the Cape Breton Highlands National Park where you will spend the majority of your time out of the vehicle. Please note: getting here and returning to the Port of Sydney takes up to 5 hours total, so much of this tour is a driving tour. Lunch: Arrangements for a packed picnic lunch can be requested at time of booking, message guide for details.

Keep your eyes open for moose and bald eagles. You might even catch a Minke or Pilot whale breaking waves in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. We make our way directly from the Port of Sydney to the Skyline Trail - one of the most epic trails on Cape Breton Island. This trail sees upwards of 1000 hikers everyday (per Parks Canada). *Please note: getting here and returning to the Port of Sydney takes up to 5 hours total, so much of this tour is a driving tour.
