I am a proud Belizean and a professional tour guide. I have been guiding now for 15 years and I love what I do. In my years as a Tour Guide I've taken thousands of visitors to Belize on some of the most enlightening, entertaining and adventurous tours. We've done everything from admire panoramic views atop ancient Maya temples to tubing through some of the longest caves in the Mayan world. We've swam with sharks, flew with the birds and "danced with the deer". The zoo is home to an impressive array of large cats, primates, reptiles and birds, giving you the opportunity to view Belize's prolific wildlife in one location. As an added bonus, you'll see the famous sites of Belize City on the way! Belize City is the commercial capital of the country and is home to about 75, 000 people. You'll view the Colonial Governor's Mansion, the redbrick St. John's Cathedral, and the Supreme Court buildings, flanked by cannons used in the Battle of St. George's Caye in 1798.
Dorian was really terrific. We took our small children to the zoo and he knew everything. We were there on new years day so we were happy he would take time off his family to helpo us. The only downside is the city was pretty dead that day.
What a wonderful experience. My husband and I have been to Belize but not our children. Dorian is knowledgeable and very flexible. He understood the needs of our huge group, 7 adults and 2 children to make our city tour just what we wanted. Lunch at Old Belize was fantastic. Everyone loved the tour of the zoo and learning about Junior Buddy. My granddaughters are still talking about it!!! Dorian is an excellent guide and you can't go wrong with this tour!!
Tour and driver guide was for the most part excellent. One member of our group was blind another needed the use of mobility scooter. All 4 of us in our 70's. Dorian was sensitive to our needs very knowledgeable about the city, animals, photographic etc. Just moved a little to slow for us and a little pushy at times. The van did not have good air conditioning. It was very hot but we survived. Over all for disabled folks this is the way to go. We plan on using tours by locals again. Very pleased.

Dorian was a delight. I was in a wheelchair and he was kind & patient. My son, his girlfriend & I all agreed our day in Belize was one of the highlights of our trip. The zoo was fantastic with the animals close up. Dorian took some fabulous pictures which he promised to send us. After the zoo we went to a beautiful waterfront restaurant where the food was delicious. Book with Dorian-he is a great guide.
This is a great tour, and Dorian is knowledgeable, prompt, kind, patient, and flexible. He made our visit to the Belize Zoo special. We enjoyed his company, and he tailored our tour to fit our special needs instead of giving us the "regular" tour- Thank you, Dorian!
