Hello! I am lucky to be a tour guide, professional photographer and innkeeper in this very special coastal city of Newport, Rhode Island. Come with me on your personal 90 minute or 4 hour tour with you and your loved ones to some amazing Newport sites. You will bring home memories from some world famous sites as well as little known areas of this city by the sea that only a local could show you. Ive worked with ToursByLocals for many years and Ive enjoyed every minute of it. Its a pleasure meeting new people from the US and all over the world and sharing historic Newport with them. My background is a Fine Arts major at California College of Art in Oakland, California and extensive photography courses at The Rhode Island School of Design. I have been a Newport photographer for 25 years, photographing everything from large weddings in a mansion , engagement photos along the sea, family portraits on a stunning beach and the interiors of some Colonials houses that this city is famous for. I've also spent 18 years in the hospitality business as an innkeeper and concierge in a 5 star diamond bed and breakfast . This along with my photography experience has given me insight into all this gem of a city has to offer. We will go on a private driving tour of Newport, picking out all the highlights the city offers . We can stop at various locations such as the Tennis Hall of Fame, the promenade called the Cliff Walk, drive along the 10 mile Ocean Drive and stop for you to take photos. Maybe you'd like to walk along the wharf area and point out our world famous restaurants , coffees shops, or where to book a sunset sail on a schooner . This tour would be an overview of Newport, Rhode Island to places you can come back to , to explore further on your own. As a local I can take you places you may not find on your own. And I am open to any special requests you may have for our private Island tour. I can pick you up at your hotel or cruise ship and off we'll go from place to place on your Newport Experience. I have travelled and explore many countries and know how valuable those memories are to making your trip truly memorable. Newport has been my home for 40 yrs. I've had 5 very interesting years working with Tours By Locals. This includes about 135 tours showing travelers this city by the sea that I love. I have worked as an Innkeeper in a 5 star historic Inn , the Francis Malbone House for the past 18 years . This includes telling people about all the highlights this beautiful seaside city has to offer, giving directions and making arrangements for a lovely stay in Newport. I am a fine arts major from California College of Art in Oakland , California and have studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence Rhode. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a photographer photographing weddings, families, interiors and special events and the amazing landscape here in Newport ,Rhode Island. I can drive a total of 4 average size people in my vehicle. If there are more people I will be happy to rent a larger vehicle to accommodate up to 6 people.
