I am a fourth generation Idahoan born and raised near the west entrance to Yellowstone Park. If you give me an Idaho french fry dipped in huckleberry ice cream, I'll follow you anywhere. I grew up around a camp fire on stories of bear encounters and family history. My great-grandfather operated a sawmill in Island Park and participated in renovating the Old Faithful Inn. My Aunt married a leader in the local Sho-Ban tribe. For this reason, I have been able to gather history of both trappers and Native Americans who are the foundation to the area.
