I am a fourth generation Idahoan born and raised near the west entrance to Yellowstone Park. If you give me an Idaho french fry dipped in huckleberry ice cream, I'll follow you anywhere. I grew up around a camp fire on stories of bear encounters and family history. My great-grandfather operated a sawmill in Island Park and participated in renovating the Old Faithful Inn. My Aunt married a leader in the local Sho-Ban tribe. For this reason, I have been able to gather history of both trappers and Native Americans who are the foundation to the area. I love seeing my home through the eyes of visitors. For this reason, I'll listen to your interests and try to take you to the local niches along the tour route that match your desires. Please feel free to contact me if you desire a more customized experience! University of Wyoming Outdoor Guide Certification. Authorized Permittee of the National Park Service. U.S. Department of Interior guide card holder for Yellowstone National Park. CPR/First Aid/Foodhandler certified. None.

Growing up in the park has taught me how to read the terrain and wildlife in a way that is intuitive. Every tour takes into consideration who is on the tour and the changing conditions of the park to give you the best experience possible! Day one will be spent exploring the upper loop of Yellowstone where the rugged terrain is and the wildlife are more active. We will leave early and travel up to the wolf den hoping to catch a glimpse of them out and about. Afterwards we will stop at the Petrified Tree, travel through Lamar Valley where there are known to be bison herds, Grizzly and pronghorn. Picnic lunch midday. On our way back we will stop at Mammoth Hot Springs and walk the terrace while observing the resident elk and make our way back seeing Sheepeater Cliff. Day 2 Old Faithful and see the West Thumb geyser Basin, Yellowstone Lake, Mud Volcano, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Norris Geyser Basin, Firehole River and Canyon, Black Sand Basin with a hike to Grand Prismatic Overlook.
Day one *Start early from your hotel 5 am - ( This tour cannot be done from Jackson Hole). *Travel to Northeast Entrance Return to hotel roughly 3-4 PM *Day two start at 7 AM *Explore lower loop *Gourmet Picnic lunches included
