I am a sixth generation Montanan who grew up with Yellowstone as my backyard. After traveling around the country playing baseball and working various jobs, all roads have led me back to my hometown of Gardiner, Montana. Exploring Yellowstone has always been my passion and it is an honor to share it with guests from all around the world. Through personal experience in the field and the many wonderful mentors in my life, it will be tough to stump me on anything Yellowstone. Beginning in Gardiner, MT, the original entrance to Yellowstone, the day begins around sunrise for the best probability to see the more elusive wildlife of the park. Large views and plentiful wildlife is the focus of the day and the Northern Range is full of those opportunities! From bison, to wolves, to bears and everything in between, this day is full of history of the first explorers, and wildlife migrations!
Nolan made our trip unforgettable. We never would have been able to appreciate the park without his deep knowledge of Yellowstone's wildlife. His love of the park deepened our experience. He was well equipped with scopes and shared videos/stills with us to keep the memories. Would definitely recommend him as a guide to anyone visiting Yellowstone.
Nolan was not only a great driver but also a great guide. He grew up in Gardiner and has spent his life in the Yellowstone area……very, very knowledgeable. We would recommend him for any area of the park although we only did the north ridge but animal sightings were lots of fun and he has wonderful optic equipment. Very enjoyable day!
I will pick you up from your hotel or pre determined location prior to your trip near Gardiner, MT. We will head into Yellowstone and towards the Northeastern Entrance through Lamar Valley. Throughout the duration of the tour we will be searching from various locations for the iconic and elusive wildlife of Yellowstone. The tour will be capped off with a walking tour of the Mammoth Hot Springs. We will be able to incorporate scenic hikes through the day depending on your capabilities! Just ask about different options for hiking distances.
