Guide #48991
"Welcome to Scotland" As a Scot, I am proud to greet my visitors with these words, and to introduce them to the unusual as well as the best my country has to offer. I have lived and worked in Aberdeenshire, Scotland my whole life, and I would be delighted to share some of our highlights and less well known special places with you. My background is in agriculture, and this allows me to give you an insight into farming, as well as the culture and history of our land. Aberdeen is my city, and I am passionate about Aberdeen Football Club through thick and thin ! My other interests include railways, local history and culture, as well as doing entertaining storytelling evenings. Food and drink is the corner stone of Aberdeenshire, with whisky tours being a particular passion of mine. I relish taking visitors out for a day to sample all the delicious food our area has to offer rounded off with a dram at the end. Aberdeen Angus beef, as well as lamb, pork and seafood are some of the key foods produced in the area. The county also has fruit farms, yogurt manufacturers and a wide range of craft breweries. These can all be enjoyed in some of the local restaurants. Outlander based tours is something I enjoy arranging for our visitors who are fans of the popular series. It is always good to have a surprise along the way whilst on holiday with castles and cairns round every corner. So come on, join me on an Aberdeenshire adventure. Scottish Tour Guide Association - Blue Badge Guide Approved Whisky Training School I am not permitted to guide you inside Scottish National Trust Properties. I am not allowed to guide you inside Peterhead Prison Museum.

Alisdair is very knowledgeable, approachable, funny and flexible. He managed to do in half a day all I asked of him, including a delicious sausage roll. On top of it, he is a really nice person. I highly recommend hiring him!!!!!

Calu, I enjoyed taking you around Aberdeen, you were interested from the off. Meeting your fellow countryman at the beach was fun and from there on we touched all the stops that were important, including a sausage roll and a buttery in Old Aberdeen. "Haste ye back" with Todd. Alasdair
We loved our tour with Alasdair and the beautiful Scottish countryside. He is very knowledgeable and personable. A highlight was the great lunch at an old hunting lodge. Highly recommend this tour.

Denise and John were a delight to show around our corner of Aberdeenshire, they were very punctual which allowed me to maximise the time off the cruise ship. They asked great questions and we were able to visit the most Easterly lighthouse in Scotland at Buchan Ness near Peterhead. Thanks for choosing my tour, Castles, Caves and Coastlines.
Alasdair was the perfect host and guide for our adventures in Aberdeenshire. We were a large family group (of eleven) so he arranged a suitably-sized tour bus with a driver. He also cheerfully accommodated various changes to the itinerary, even on the fly, He had the right balance of humor and serious information, and interacted well with our eccentric crew. The two...

Linda, Hans, and extended family, You were a joy to welcome to our corner of Aberdeenshire and it was good to have a group who were so genuinely interested in the landscape the history and the culture of our land. For me the highlight was the Anchor Hotel in Johnshaven saving the day with the "best fish and chips in the world", after the Lobster Shop ran out of lobster...
We cannot give a more fantastic rating for Alasdair, if possible we would give him a 100 stars. He went over and above to make sure our trip was even more special than we hoped for. His knowledge of the country, sense of humor, and making sure our vacation was special was truly perfect. When he heard that my husband was hoping to visit an abandoned family castle, he...
