My name is Elaine, originally from Clydebank – where all the great boats were built. I moved to Aberdeenshire around 25 years ago. Aberdeenshire and adjoining Morayshire have some spectacular coasts to enjoy with sandy beaches, links golf courses, and amazing wildlife. There is just so much to see. I live very close to the Whisky capital of Scotland, along with some amazing Castle trails, there is something for everyone, including motor museums, cream tea train rides or the dram tram if you prefer. I am passionate about Scotland and the many many things it has to offer, having worked in the hospitality industry for many years I am interested in food and drink and searching out the best places to go, love to go on out and explore new places, as a very famous Scottish Comedian once said there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing, so bring your waterproofs (just in case) and lets go on an adventure.

Travel to Glendronach enjoying the beautiful scenery that Aberdeenshire has to offer, see somewhere you would like to see a bit closer, let me know and we will see if we can take time out to have a look. Spend an hour at the distillery on "The Brambles Tour" have a little look round the distillery before heading off to a lovely restuarant in Huntly "The Bank Restaurant" where you will be able to sample some lovely produce, I can personally recommend the food and the service. Finish off the day with a visit to the local Duncan Taylor Whisky Shop. Above is a suggested day, you may prefer to visit the castle in Huntly or just have a look around the quaint old town of Huntly or visit the local world famous "Deans" shortbread factory.
