John Henry Anderson (“Wizard of the North”) grave in the kirkyard. Statue of William Wallace – monument to Scotland’s national hero near Union Terrace Gardens. Transfer to Old Aberdeen (Public Bus) – after exploring the city centre, we take a short bus ride together to Old Aberdeen, a peaceful historic area with a strong university heritage. King’s College – founded in 1495, one of the oldest parts of the University of Aberdeen, with a historic chapel. Cruickshank Botanic Garden – a quiet university garden with diverse plant collections. St Machar’s Cathedral – a 12th-century cathedral with Gothic architecture and detailed stonework.
