Hello, I’m Haiyan. Welcome to Japan!I live in Tokyo with my dog. I truly believe every encounter is special, and I cherish meeting travelers from around the world. Japan is a country with a unique cultural background, many social rules, and limited English communication in some situations, so I would like to applaud your courage for taking the adventure to visit this country. Trains are usually very quiet, and even when people talk, they speak softly. In many restaurants or cafés, entering without ordering something may be considered impolite. People also tend to follow schedules and rules carefully, and some places still accept cash only. These are all part of Japan’s unique culture and daily life. I have over 8 years of guiding experience, speak Japanese, English and Chinese and previously lived in the United States for 3 years, so communication is always easy and comfortable. Another great tour with Haiyan. She arranged everything from a great driver to an unforgettable meal. Dinner at her local spot was exactly the Tokyo experience we were looking for. You can eat at fancy restaurants anywhere but to enjoy endless food in an off the beaten path was just the thing we will remember forever.

We have done a lot of these tours and this one was by far the best. Haiyan is someone we now consider a friend. She was always on time or early. Had a plan based on our requests and showed us things we didn’t even expect to see. When life gave us a Typhoon she still made the day fun. Totally flexible and would pivot quite easily during the day. I can’t give a higher...

Great intro to Tokyo. We loved Haiyan. She had great energy and very easy going with our teenagers and evolving interests through the day. A perfect mix of first day intro to culture, shopping, food and transportation. Haiyan went the extra mile to get us set up with Suica Welcome cards. 100% recommended
