Always hire a certified guide."*** Hi there! My name is Mario. I was born and raised in the central mainland, but I'm one of the lucky ones with two hometowns since my mother comes from Naxos! I've always been here and there, but for the past 15 years, I've mainly been living on the island! I'm an active person with a restless spirit and itchy feet. Having lived abroad for many years, I've performed as a musician across Europe and my academic journey led me to study agricultural sciences and earn a master’s degree in Aquaponics, specializing in pesticide-free food production and environmental protection. As an athlete and martial artist for most of my life, my love for nature and the environment naturally led me to become a professional licensed/certified outdoor activities guide, professional skipper, as well as a licensed/certified first aid rescuer and rescue diver. Due to my passion for exploring the great outdoors and sharing its wonders with others, over the past decade, I've gained extensive experience guiding thousands of people on mountain treks, hiking trails and sailing expeditions. Naxos Island is the largest of the Cycladic islands, boasting high mountains, mesmerizing beaches, stunning nature, magical trails, challenging scrambles, relaxing strolls, settlements that have preserved their traditional ways, places that radiate all the authenticity of Naxos, and of course delicious local cuisine. Over the years, I've explored every corner of the island and the Small Cyclades islands, and I can show you all the hidden gems, both on land and sea. I know the place like the back of my hand! So, If you prefer sipping cocktails all day over embracing the great outdoors, I might not be your guide... unless you're up for a cocktail on a mountain summit, or aboard a sailing boat !
