I've lived in the Bay area for 50 years and have experienced the beauty and many of the changes. Much of this was the growth of the wine regions in Sonoma and Napa counties into what many people will say is the best wine country destination in the world. I am a Certified Tourism Ambassador with Sonoma County and have very close relationships with many of the wineries. Many of the winery owners and staff are friends of mine! Your group's day will be spent discovering the heart of California "Cab Country". Yes, Cabernet Sauvignon may be king here, but this valley offers many other wine lover's treats. Made famous by "The 1976 Judgment of Paris", your group will be visiting wineries tasting world class wines!

Your Sonoma tour itinerary

Listed here is a sample itinerary. 10:00 am to 11:30 - Baldacci Family Vineyards and Winery, located in the Stag's Leap AVA for a tasting of five wines. 12:00pm to 2:00pm - Wm. Harrison Vineyards & Winery. William Moore (Bill) Harrison's maternal ancestors have been making fine wine in southern Italy since the early 16th Century. In 1902, his grandfather, Antonio Perelli-Minetti immigrated to California and was the first winemaker in the state to hold a degree in viticulture and enology. He is widely considered one of the most prominent figures in California's winemaking heritage. The group will enjoy a tasting and picnic lunch. 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm - A wine tasting at Girgich Hill Estate.
