Hello!, my name is Michael! I am a very local retired investment advisor. I have lived in Santa Barbara for 43 years and love my city. Over the years I have shown many family and friends around the town to enthusiastic appreciation. I have a 2019 BMW X5 for your touring pleasure. I am originally from Queens New York, having moved to Santa Barbara in 1975 upon completing college. I have a BS in Business management from SUNY Binghamton. I look forward to meeting you! I will give you the full locals tour. Driving through beautiful neighborhoods, and taking you to the places that make Santa Barbara a great place to visit! There are so many interesting and beautiful places to see in Santa Barbara. I will take you to all of the highlights of our town, the American Riviera! You will see beaches, gardens, fabulous views and homes. Seeing our Santa Barbara through the eyes of this enthusiastic local is extraordinary!
I would have given Michael a 5 except for the fact that he showed up over an hour late for the tour. He had written the tour down on the wrong date in his calendar. Once he did arrive he gave us a very nice tour of the Santa Barbara area. I would recommend Michael as a tour guide if you are in the Santa Barbara area.
What a GREAT tour! Michael curated an extremely comprehensive and very enjoyable day for us. His passion for the area was evident as we saw and experienced things only someone living in the area for decades would be familiar with. Michael gave us an excellent tour of Santa Barbara. We enjoyed the chance to visit the beautiful must-see locations with photos along the way while on a cruise port visit. Conversation was fun and your recommendation of a restaurant was perfect!
Our tour was excellent. By the end if the afternoon we felt like we made a new friend. We would highly recommend this experience.
This is the tour I take my friends on: - We first drive through Hope Ranch and down around to Hendreys Beach and the Boat House Restaurant. - Continuing on to Shoreline park with a walk along the ocean. - Then down to the Wharf and a stroll along the Breakwater. - We then dive down and walk along the Pier. - We drive down to East Beach (where beach volleyball was invented). Continuing on through Montecito and Coast Village Rd driving through the Music Academy property. Go to the funk zone next and lunch. - Proceeding on to downtown, the El Paseo, Grassini wine tasting, the court house and sunken gardens and finally the Santa Barbara Mission, the Queen of the Missions!
