Originally from Portland, Oregon, I fell in love with Alaska during a January trip in 2019 and made Fairbanks my permanent home the following summer. My journey in local tourism began as a shuttle driver transporting guests to an Aurora destination, where I quickly discovered my passion for sharing local history and stories along the route. Since then, I have guided tours across Alaska, constantly acquiring books along the way, and learning everything I can about this amazing state. But no matter where I travel, coming back to Fairbanks always feels like coming home. My tours aim to share what makes the Golden Heart City special. You can expect deep dives into local history, native culture, and gold rush lore, plus hot springs and the adaptations needed to live and thrive in the subarctic environment. I keep my tours relaxed, conversational, and tailored to your interests, ensuring that you leave with not just great photos, but a true local's perspective on life in the Far North.
