I've lived in Baltimore for pretty much my whole life, with the notable exception of the fours years I spent in college at the University of Central Florida. While I was away, I couldn't stop telling all of my new friends about my hometown, but I never imagined then that one day I'd be able to make a living bragging about Baltimore! For more than 15 years I have owned and operated a tour guide and receptive service encompassing the entire Capital Region. Our customers have included international tour operators, cruise lines, group leaders, educators, travel planners, destination marketing organizations, corporate clients, and large-scale conferences and conventions. Throughout my career I've been a vocal advocate for tourism as past chair of the Baltimore Tourism Association and Maryland Tourism Coalition, and current member of the Maryland Tourism Development Board. I've also taught courses in tourism and hospitality as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. But my true passion is telling Baltimore's remarkable stories. There is so much more to our city than meets the eye. It's a city filled with exciting history, colorful characters, and vibrant culture. From Babe Ruth to Edgar Allan Poe to Frederick Douglass to Francis Scott Key, some of the most iconic and inspirational figures in American history are connected to Baltimore. Our city is innovative, inspirational, entertaining, and definitely unique. I consider it an honor and a privilege to share our stories with guests from around the world. Did you know that the gallant defense of Ft. McHenry inspired our National Anthem? Or that the nation's first commercial railroad begin here? Or that the world's tallest equilateral five-sided building overlooks our Inner Harbor? You'll also learn about some of the influential individuals that have called Baltimore home throughout history, from Babe Ruth to Edgar Allan Poe. I'll pack these and dozens of other compelling and memorable stories into our four-hour experience, and I promise once we're done you'll have a whole new perception of this important city.

Chris was awesome. He showed his pride in his hometown every moment of the 4 hour tour, but did it in an entertaining, joyful, beautiful way. We have been on lots of tours, but hands down he was the best! Great stories about so much, that we have been sharing them with our kids, grandkids and family. He was considerate and kind as he helped us get in and out his car and literally talked non stop for the whole time. Truly THE BEST TOUR GUIDE ever!!! I would highly recommend!!

We were in town to take in a ball game at Camden Yards. This discovery tour of Baltimore was perfect! We were amazed at how many Baltimore sites we were able to visit in just four (4) hours. It was just right amount of walking and driving and picture taking. We were even lucky enough to be able to be in the perfect spot to take in a little bit of the Maryland Cycling Classic (Chris planned that one perfectly) Chris was extremely knowledgeable and shared many fascinating stories. He is a wonderful ambassador for the city Baltimore. We would strongly recommend a tour with Chris!

We really enjoyed our tour of Baltimore City with Chris R. What a great way to start our week!! Chris was a great guide. He was very accommodating to our schedule and pick-up location. He showed us so many sites and his knowledge of Baltimore’s history was amazing. We revisited some of the sites he introduced us to throughout the week to learn more about the city. Wow! This is a must see tour! Chris gave us a fantastic and highly informative personal tour of Baltimore. He showed us all the major neighborhoods of Baltimore from a historical and modern day perspective. We saw all past and present day attractions which totally changed my awareness of Baltimore. His last sight was Ft. McHenry and is a must see. Chris is friendly and passionate about Baltimore. (He even stopped at an authentic Italian cafe for coffee and sweets per my late request!)
