I'm a native of Maryland. I've always loved the Chesapeake Bay, sailing, fishing and skiing are some of my favorite pastimes. As an avid traveler and student of culture, history & architecture I am sure that Annapolis is a world class destination. I've traveled to over 30 countries and love visiting new places. After a 30 year career in hospitality I have a particular love for dining out in all types of venues and look forward to showing you the finest the Bay has to savor. I became a tour guide because of my passion for this area and a genuine interest in sharing the best of our region. Of particular interest to me is meeting people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. In my experience, an intimate tour with a local guide is the best way to learn a new area. Annapolis is one of the oldest cities in America and is loaded with Colonial history. With 1300 historical buildings of 15 different architectural styles we have one of the highest concentrations of 18th century Georgian buildings anywhere. The beautiful Maryland State House is 248 years old and has a lovely museum. The waterfront & city dock is one of the oldest and best preserved in the country. Surrounded by restaurants, taverns, specialty shops and boutiques it is a feast for the senses. Our legendary seafood bounty includes the finest Oysters, Crabs and Striped Bass available anywhere. Excellent restaurants, crab houses and taverns are plentiful. Near downtown is the US Naval Academy which has a beautiful campus and museum. Holidays bring beautiful decorations while Spring and Summer offer Performing and Visual Arts Festivals; weekly Sailboat races with 100+ boats competing. Sailing schools and recreational boaters established Annapolis as a major center for regattas, charters and boat shows. Less than 1 hour away are Washington DC, downtown Baltimore, shopping outlets and a casino. All my tours can be customized to your particular preferences and expectations. I look forward to creating the experience that will make your vacation memorable. I have a B.A. from the University of Maryland. I have a Sienna Mini Van and can accommodate 4 guests. Children are welcome. I have disabled license plates and welcome visitors with mobility concerns.

Overview of your Annapolis tour

As a life long resident of the region I know and love the Chesapeake area. Our day will find us visiting one of the oldest and best preserved Colonial towns. We will stroll cobblestone sidewalks lined with beautiful trees and gardens. Annapolis is referred to as a museum without walls due to one of the largest concentrations of 18th and 19th Century homes anywhere. We'll visit spectacular preserved mansions filled with art and antiques. Main Street is lined with shops, boutiques, homemade ice cream and candy shops, bars and restaurants of every flavor. The waterfront is an idyllic setting for any meal with spectacular views and stellar people watching. The Chesapeake Bay's seafood bounty offers the best and most extensive crab offerings anywhere; Our oysters and striped bass (rockfish) are legendary. We are The Sailing Capitol and home to the Naval Academy. With temperate weather, street festivals, art & craft fairs, free concerts and a charming sophistication Annapolis is an ideal destination year round
