Explore Annapolis your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Annapolis tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Annapolis for every interest, including:

History tours: Walk the U.S. Naval Academy with a guide who can show you the Chapel and John Paul Jones crypt, then step into the Maryland State House where the Treaty of Paris was ratified. Add the William Paca House & Garden to see an 18th‑century home and its restored terraced grounds.

Food and Drink tours: Learn to pick blue crab at Cantler’s Riverside Inn or sample oysters fresh from the Bay, then warm up with a roast at Ceremony Coffee. You can add a craft beer flight at Forward Brewing in Eastport or a tasting at Great Frogs Winery just outside town.

Architecture tours: Compare Georgian gems like the Hammond‑Harwood House and William Paca House with Federal-era townhouses along Pinkney Street. Your guide can include St. Anne’s Church and a walk through Eastport’s wooden bungalows for a wider look at local building styles.

The historic core is compact and walkable, and a local circulator helps with short hops. For waterfront crab houses, wineries, or spread-out neighbourhoods, ask about tours with private transportation or a chauffeured option.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Annapolis inside and out.
