Hello and welcome to the Heart of England region. After a career in fashion manufacturing I qualified as a Blue Badge Tour Guide in 2001. Since then I have specialised in providing personalised, private tours of Birmingham and surrounding region. I love to share my enthusiasm with visitors from UK and abroad. As a 'born and bred Brummie', I have seen many changes to Birmingham over the last 25 years; from a city with a reputation for heavy industry Birmingham has become a highly regarded centre of excellence in all areas of business and culture. A wide variety of restaurants, great shopping, museums and galleries plus numerous local attractions make Birmingham a popular tourist destination with leisure and business visitors alike. Just a forty minute drive from Birmingham city centre are the famous 'Shakespeare Country' towns of Stratford upon Avon and Warwick with the Cotswold hills beyond. Whatever your reason for visiting and however much or little time you have to spare, I would be delighted to tailor a walking and/or driving tour that will help you discover the hidden. . . Heart of England. Hope to see you soon. Overview of your Stratford Upon Avon tour

Famous around the world as the birthplace of the playwright William Shakespeare, this delightful and vibrant riverside town is the setting for our morning walk exploring the life and times of William, his family, friends, and associates. From the birthplace, we take a gentle stroll beside the river and through the streets that were familiar to William Shakespeare. Along the way we see where he went to school, the site of the house that he retired to on his return from London - and his final resting place in the Parish Church.

A lovely morning driving around Stratford upon Avon and visiting Anne Hathaway’s cottage. Could we have done this on our own? Yes. Would it have been as enjoyable and efficient? No. Diane is experienced and thoughtful and effective. Was delightful spending a day and a half with her.

Our visit to Stratford-upon-Avon was made unforgettable by Diane, our fantastic tour guide. She showed us Shakespeare's birthplace, his burial site, and shared fascinating stories about the city's history. Diane's thoughtful gesture of driving us to the train station saved us valuable time, which is crucial when traveling. Her friendly nature and knowledge made the tour enjoyable and informative. If you're visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, I highly recommend touring with Diane. She made our experience truly

Diane was superb! Very kind and accommodating. When she learned we had planned to go to Warwick castle after our tour, she kindly offered to drive us as she had another afternoon tour nearby. This was very much above and beyond and summarized much of the kindness extended to us by our British friends on this trip. She also made a nice lunch recommendation and ensured that we made it safely. Thank you Diane for lovely day.

One of the finest tours I've ever taken. Diane was the most wonderful combination of friendly, warm, informative, accommodating, and interesting. She knew so much about Shakespeare's life and times, the world he inhabited, and the England where his work blossomed. I cannot recommend Diane and her tours highly enough.
