From the birthplace, we take a gentle stroll beside the river and through the streets that were familiar to William Shakespeare. Along the way we see where he went to school, the site of the house that he retired to on his return from London - and his final resting place in the Parish Church. We walk to the village of Shottery- a distance of 1 mile from Stratford upon Avon town, where we visit Anne Hathaway's cottage - the childhood home of William's wife.

Meet at the agreed time and place. Walk to and visit Shakespeare's Birthplace, We cross the ancient footbridge that he would have known on his journeys to and from London. Stop at the Shakespeare Memorial theatre to hear how the annual Shakespeare Festival began. Visit the Parish Church to see the family graves.
