Hi there! I am a professional, licensed tour guide authorized by the Ministry of Tourism. I have been in the tourism industry for over 25 years, and I still love it. I love meeting new people from different cultures. I enjoy giving and receiving information, as well as interacting with others. Besides being a licensed tour guide, I am also a certified interpreter. I studied English Language and Literature at university. I am married, and I have two little kids. My tours are in and around the city of Trabzon, the transportation is via brand new vans with full tourism insurance and certifications (either a Wolskvagen Caravelle or a Mercedes Vito, according to the number of seats needed. Or if the tour is only with one or two visitors, we can hire a car.) If the visitor requests only a city center tour and wants to interact with local people, then we can arrange a walking tour and public transportation. The City of Trabzon has a lot to offer. During my tours, visitors will be able to explore a rich history from early Christianity, Islam, Byzantine, Persians, Ottoman Era, modern Turkey, and different cultures. We will visit monasteries, old mosques, museums, and lively streets. My city is peaceful, far away from problems. Local people are really tourist-friendly. Last but not least, Trabzon and its neighbourhood offer really tasty dishes that tourists love to try. I have some fixed programs of my tours, but we can arrange tailor-made tours according to the visitors' needs and time. I offer and guarantee you that we together will decide about every single detail in your travel plan, and you can feel comfortable asking me anything about it. I promise you that I will always be flexible, friendly, understanding, satisfying, and informative during your tour because my goal is to give you the best possible guiding service. Hope to see you soon. 1- I have a Professional Tourist Guide License issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture 2- I have been certified as a Cultural Heritage Professional by the European Union-funded ALECTOR Project 3- I have attended a training course named "Developing Effective Communication" in Slovenia, funded bythe European Union I do not have any restrictions regarding my guiding; I can offer a full range of experiences. Please be informed that all my tours are guaranteed and comply with the laws of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Please note that the tours guaranteed here are to be provided by an officially registered A-class Tourism & Travel Agency.

If you are interested in driving up to high altitudes, then this trip is just for you. It is a whole-day excursion and you will enjoy the Ayder High Plateau, various tones of green, riverside driving, old stone bridges, and an old castle. All day long, we will drive about 400 km, but in the end, you will feel that every kilometer was worth it. As we drive through the valley along the road, the Storm River will be following us right beside. The terraces formed by tea cultivation fields, with slopes ranging from 50-60%, will look like steps leading to paradise. As we ascend in altitude, we will feel more liberated. I believe that we will experience an unforgettable day with rivers, ancient stone bridges, a castle with breathtaking views, and, ultimately, a wildly flowing waterfall.
In the morning, we'll depart from Trabzon to visit Memişağa Mansion (an old Ottoman Lord's villa) by the sea to enjoy the nice architecture and have a glass of Turkish Tea. Then we'll drive up the smooth mountain road alongside the Fırtına (Storm) River path. On the way we'll stop for an easy level zipline adventure for about 15 minutes. Following this adrenaline load, we'll head to Zil Castle, an old guarding station of the historic Silk Road. It is 100 mts above the river and 700 mts above the sea level. It has a great view among the green mountains. After Zil Castle we'll drive up to Ayder High Plateau following a pit stop at an old stone Ottoman Bridge. In Ayder, we'll enjoy the 1350 meter altitude's fresh oxygen, nice view and pleasant walks. On the way back, we're going to have lunch at a nice restaurant at the sea side. Then we'll go to the little town of Sürmene to visit famous knife and Turkish Tea production centers. Our trip will end in Trabzon in the evening.

We are going to travel in a modern, clean, air-conditioned minivan like a Mercedes, a Volkswagen Caravelle, or a Citroen. And there will be some light-level walking in the visiting spots.
