I started as a coordinator with youth camp associations, then spent seven years teaching at a private school. After that, I sought full-time work while taking on contract opportunities as a senior operations administrator, an office executive, and a lead academic instructor. Ultimately, none of those roles were the right fit for my enduring goals or led to my ideal career path. Working at a travel agency initially seemed like a perfect match for my career goals. However, the daily routine still felt too much like a typical office job. I eventually recognized my true desire to work outdoors rather than being confined to a desk. Furthermore, I am deeply passionate about wilderness adventures such as hiking, camping, kayaking, and scuba diving. My interests also extend to nature-based pursuits like birdwatching, photography, stargazing, and eco-volunteering. Moreover, I constantly challenge myself to acquire more and more new skills. After deciding to step away from that corporate routine, I finally accomplished my career goal of becoming an expert local tour guide.¹ I always strive to immerse myself in local cultures, traditions, history, folklore, and lifestyles, as well as natural resources and national heritage sites. Currently, I hold a nationwide tourism license, operating as an independent specialist guide, completely fulfilling my ultimate professional aspiration. Having been born, raised, and educated in Bangkok, I am proud to call it my lifelong home. I frequently take solo trips to update my knowledge, as well as to enrich my local expertise. My travels range from exploring remote, hidden communities to visiting top local attractions, and even revisiting them sometimes. There is no doubt that I have become entirely accustomed not only to the central districts but also to the suburbs and surrounding areas.
