Lovely sweet woman! Met us at airport right on time. Provided excellent driver. Knows city and history. Visited several temples and Thai massage. Very clean and inexpensive. Recommend Unimman hotel! Great room, massage available and wonderful market and restaurants right across the street.
This was an exceptional tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, gracious, and most generous. We were so enthralled by Wat Chiang Man, a temple we may not have found on our own, that we returned another day to meditate within and appreciate the grounds. Rungtip is the best guide. She is very knowledgeable, she tells you everything you want to know about living and being in Thailand as well as the tour. She takes your pace, gives you experiences that you can't find as a tourist alone and I would highly recommend taking this tour with her
What a wonderful guide to work with. "Tip" helped us plan our 3 days together and we enjoyed everything we wanted to do plus more. The planned tours can be modified and we did so. Also, we were eager to shop for Teak furniture and she took us to a wonderful store. Her understanding of the difference of religious differences throughout Thailand and Myanmar proved very valuable. Also, she picked the best dining places.
I am so glad I booked this tour with knowledgeable Rungtip who made sure I saw everything I wanted to including an extra museum I asked aboaut and all the city gates. I learned so much today, had the most delicious lunch at a special local restaurant I wouldn't have found on my own, my special request for an iced latte and the most amazing reflexology/food massage experience of my life. The driver was also thoughtful and made sure the 6 hours went smoothly with not a minute wasted. I highly recommend this day tour.
Rungtip was a wonderful guide. A native, she shared a native's knowledge and perspective on a fascinating city and culture, with a solid command of English. A modern air conditioned SUV with professional driver took us to the various locations. Highly recommended.
Tour program: 9:00 Guide arrives at your hotel and 1. leave for Wat Chiang Maan, the first temple built in Chiang Mai. It has over 700 hundred years of history. 2. Wat Pan Tao has a teak wooden Wihara that used to be an old Hor Kham (palace) of Chiang Mai's ruler. It is over 200 years old. 3. Wat Chedi Luang has the biggest Chedi holding Bhudda's relic. The Emerald Bhudda used to be here before it was moved to Lao and then Bangkok. 12:00 Lunch at local restaurant. 13:00 Lanna Museum. 15:00 Relax with Lanna style foot massage. 16:00 Return to hotel.
