Start the morning at a lively local market, where we pick up simple Thai breakfast dishes to prepare offerings for morning alms giving, an important Buddhist tradition. After enjoying hot Thai tea or local coffee, we take part in this peaceful ritual as monks walk through the neighborhood. Later we visit the iconic Wat Phra That Doi Suthep on Doi Suthep Mountain and the tranquil forest temple Wat Pha Lat. The day continues with traditional merit-making rituals, a delicious local Thai lunch, a café break, and time exploring one of Chiang Mai’s authentic markets. 06:30 AM – Pick up from your hotel and visit a local morning market to buy breakfast and prepare food offerings for monks. 07:00 AM – Enjoy hot tea or local coffee while observing the morning atmosphere of Chiang Mai. 07:30 AM – Participate in the traditional morning alms giving to Buddhist monks. 08:30 AM – Drive to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the most famous temple in Chiang Mai, located on Doi Suthep mountain. 10:00 AM – Visit the peaceful forest temple Wat Pha Lat, hidden along the mountainside. 11:30 AM – Visit Wat Chai Mongkhon to make merit and release fish into the Ping River. 12:30 PM – Lunch at a local Thai restaurant and Coffee break at a stylish Chiang Mai café. 01:30 PM – Explore a traditional market such as Warorot Market or Thanin Market, where locals shop for fresh ingredients and everyday foods. 02:30 PM – Return to your hotel.
