In the year 739 ab urbe condita the Roman Emperor Cesar Augustus founded a city on the banks of the Ebro river. Nowadays, the monumental beauty and unique atmosphere of Zaragoza, a city with more than 2, 000 years of history, can be enjoyed by adventurous travellers who want to visit an ancient and lovely polis. Those adventurous travellers will be guided by a passionate local guide. That guide is me, Jorge, a 26 years old man that has returned to his land after 3 years living abroad. Since I was a child I have loved the history and visiting ancient places discovering its stories. As a guide of Zaragoza, I am an excellent connection between the city and the intrepid travellers that are desiring to discover its secrets. With me you will enjoy the setting that has accompanied me for the most of my life and has become an extension of my person. We will visit the incredible Roman vestiges of Zaragoza, its narrow and medieval streets, the enormous and prestigious Plaza del Pilar with its sacred and colossal cathedrals… You can also walk with me through the huge and green Parque Jose Antonio Labordeta or enjoy a night of tapas and wines along the picturesque streets of El Tubo. - Master degree in the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language from University of La Rioja (2016 - 2017) - Degree in History from University of Zaragoza (2012 - 2016) - Experience as a Tour Guide in Prague (2018 - 2020) - I don't drive

Old quarter of Zaragoza Historical Guided Walking Tour Located on the banks of the river Ebro is Zaragoza. The city founded by Augustus, the first Roman emperor in history. It was a muslim delight in the Middle Ages, when it was the capital of a prosperous independent emirate. At the dawn of the Modern Age it was known as "The Hispanic Florence" for its large number of Renaissance palaces. I invite you to walk the Old quarter of Zaragoza with me. Enjoy its squares and be also fascinated by its cathedrals and temples. We will see the Roman walls of the city, the winding and medieval streets of its historic center such as its magnificent cathedrals. All these iconic places in Zaragoza have been a vital part of my life scene. And I have been a living part of this ancient area during the last 26 years. Consequently visiting this monuments with me will be a truly local experience.
Fantastic tour and explanation of the lovely historical town of Zaragoza. Jorge is a wonderful guide, professional, conscientious, and so knowledgeable! He truly made our time in Zaragoza special, and we learned so much more about our surroundings than we would have on our own.
My tour experience with Jorge was excellent. Zaragoza is an important historical city with several significant sites to visit, and unfortunately I had very little time to spend there. Jorge made sure that we spent as much time as possible at these important locations and even insisted that I be sure to include the most important visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pilar and learn about it's unique historical importance. He also was very thorough and timely in his pre-tour communications. He is knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to have been able to have learned about this lovely city with him.
Jorge gave us a wonderful tour of the old town. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his city. Thank you!
Jorge was a model of flexibility, punctually meeting us at the Zaragoza-Delicias RR station and giving us a thorough introduction to the Aljafería Fortress from its construction through the Aragón rulers up to the present. After acquainting us with the grandiose Cathedral de la Virgen del Pilar, he was prepared to cintinue our tour of historic Zaragoza and visit any other sights we care to; however, the surprisingly cold wind persuaded us to seek shelter in an excellent Jorge-recommended restaurant.
Jorge was very knowledgeable about the history of Zaragoza and explained quite well the intricacies of the centuries of different rulers, especially as exemplified by the architecture. He also gave us excellent advice regarding where to dine and what to see after out tour was over. His English could use improvement..
Jorge was very informative and knows his history well. He also knows the best Tapas places in Zaragoza.
